 Bottom drains are a simple addition to your pond. The bottom drains pull in water debris from the bottom of the pond into the skimmer box. Benefits of using a bottom drain include: A cleaner pond with a decreased chance of debris on the pond’s bottom. A clearer pond. Easier to see your fish and enjoy the pond when it’s lit up at night. Makes water chances and clean out easier because a lot of the debris has already been removed. Improved water quality and circulation. Large Koi and high fish loads produce a lot of waste which can accumulate at the bottom of the pond.
